Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

I am divorced. We have not been through property settlement yet. I was awarded use of my car by the courts. My X filed bankrupcy and encluded my car. I took over the payments. The title is under both our names. Does he still have to donate the car to me before I can sell it? Also he encluded the credit cards under the bankrupcy - If they are considered community debt - can they (the credit card company) still come after me to collect?

Bankruptcy law is nuanced and becoming somewhat specialized. Most lawyers who practice family law do not practice bankruptcy law at this time. I suggest that you consult with a lawyer certified in personal bankruptcy law. I believe you can file an intervention in the bankruptcy (you are both his co-debtor & his creditor), but you should speak to someone whose expertise is closer to your situation.
