Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

I am the domiciliary parent of my 4yr. Old child, the father and I share joint custody. The father has designated visitation days ( of which he does not comply with). During the time that he is scheduled to have our child, do I have a right to contact my child via phone etc.... Or can he legally refuse me the right to contact our child?

You have a right to contact him, but unless it is spelled out in the Judgment, he does not have to allow you to speak with him. A father should, but legally he does not have to.
