Domicilliary parent traveling with child out of state

Does the domicilliary parent have to notify the non-custodial parent if they go on a weekend trip outside of the state where the child resides? The parents have joint legal custody but does not have joint physical custody. Also, child support is back-owed $900+ (more than two months)

Unless the court ordered notification, none is required. Child support has nothing to do with visitation or notification.
