Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Estate

My uncle died on Feb19th2008;he left my aunt (His sister-inlaw),me and my 2 sisters his estate.

My aunt (His sister in-law) died May 11th,2008, she had no children and we are named as her heirs.

My aunt has nothing (Is this her only estate: since she died before my uncles estate is probated will she still be included as an heir in his estate?

My uncles will has been only filed and opened.

Thank you,

Robbie

Re: Estate

Upon your Uncle's death, ownership of his estate went to his heirs, even though his succession has not been opened. Therefore, her succession must be opened to transfer her property to all of you. UNLESS all the property is movable property, such as cars, money and the like. Immovable property is land, houses and the like. If only movable, there is a way to transfer ownership as long as all the heirs agree.
