Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

My exgirl friend is trying to stop me from seeing my daughter. How can I get my rights to see my child and is there any way I can get Joint Custody? What options do I have.

As long as you are a parent and willing to raise your child in the best environment you can manage, you should have joint custody. Marriage is not a prerequisite. The rule is what is in the best interest of the child. Get an attorney and file for custody, visitation and to set support. Your child needs both parents.
