Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
The ex-wife
My husbands ex-wife who has never met me, is contiuously saying bad things about me to his children and I am sure to other people. Right now her newest slander of me is that I got her 13 year old daughter drunk and talked to her about oral sex. both which are completely untrue. So she is threatening my husband of taking us to court, which would only cost him money and more humiliation for me and/or charges not to mention my own children who are 2 and 4 months old. Is there anything i can do to make her stop and protect my family?

The only way I know of dealing with difficult people like this is to show them that you can make their life difficult also. Once they reach this realization, then you can hopefully leave each other alone and get on with life.
Re: The ex-wife
You could sue her for slander, but you would have to prove that you have been damaged. Perhaps you would have some minimal damages in the form of mental anguish. It will be difficult to find a lawyer who will pursue this kind of case.
