Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

False accusations to obtain protective order

I recently found out the man I had been dating and becoming quite serious with was married/seperated and still sleeping with his wife. This man had told me he had never been married and lied about several other major things. He had went as far as to purchase a home he said was for us to show me he intended marriage. I found out about a whole bunch of lies he told me because I spoke to his wife and then I went to the home while he was out and used my key to enter and removed all my belongings. Now im getting court papers that he is filing a protective order agains me stating i have threatened him with physical violence and i stole his key and stoled $2K of his personal property!! All these accusations are false and he is just bitter that I found out all his lies and left him. Should I be concerned about this and what can I do about the false allegations he is making against me?

I agree with Ms. Bushman. You need to hire an attorney who can practice in the jurisdiction where the protective order was filed. If you do not respond he will get whatever he prayed for in the document.
