Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
father not married to mother
We were not married but both of my sons carry my name, She was living in Orleans parish when she initally filed but we both live in Jefferson parish, for some reason we have to keep going into Orleans even though we live in JP. Anyway we went to court and a judgement was filed and we both received joint custody, Well she has not yet done as the judge says and I can not afford an attorney it is killing me to not see my babies it has been over 5 months since I dropped them off to her after having them in Tennessee by my parents for the summer, Since I dropped them off she has moved 2 times and has NEVER notified me as to where they live, I have an idea finally but she wont answer the door at the house where I knock, She wont take child support honestly where would I send iot to her she is hiding. I am so sick over missing my babies and I cant afford legal help and free legal help takes up to a year or more to get, What can i do legally to get visitation to my babies? They are so adorable I cry wondering if they are OK and if they need me and so on, Please help me if at all possibe could you please notify me by phone or personal email for I do not get online much at all I am borrowing someones computer right now seeking help, Thanks

Re: father not married to mother
Write as clearly as you can what the mother has done and what you want the court to do to make it all better. File that with the Clerk of Court in the parish that has been handling the case. You will want a hearing about the issues so make sure that the clerk schedules it for a hearing and that the mother is served with a copy of what you filed. Most courts are very willing to ignore the procedural mistakes of people who represent themselves. Just write clearly and plainly.
