Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

The father of my four year old daughter physically took her from my arms six months ago and I have not seen her since. He refuses to let me see her. We both live in Louisiana by the way. There is no court order. We have not been to court. We are not nor were ever married. Both our names are on the birth certificate. Is there a kidnapping law I can charge him with? I just want to get my daughter back.

Since there is no custody order it does not qualify as kidnapping. Get a lawyer and file for custody.
