Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

i want to file for a reduction in child support. i found out that my childs mother receives government assistance. she was previously awarded an increase in child support. is this grounds for a reduction?

I doubt if you will find any Judge who will reduce your moral responsibility to supprt your child because the tax payers are having to help her out. In fact the Judge may increase your responsibility so that the tax payer does not have to help you.
