Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

I filed for divorce my husband have been served using legal aide. We had tow cars that was purchased and the one that he possesed was repossed. the automoble was in bout of our names but my wages were and garnished because of his non payment. The vehcile that was in my possession since the purchase was paid out. However a few months ago I was in an accident and it was considered a total loss. The insuance company paid but the check was put in both of our name. The check as he insisted was split between the two of us. I asked the insurance company can I keep the car and that request was granted. I recieved a call from him on yesterday stating that we had some unfinished business about the car. Well this morning I woke to the license plate being removed from the car. What can I do? what do I have any rights? The free legal aide that handling the divorce however don't deal with community property. HELP PLEASE

The car is community property and will have to be ordered in court. You may be able to contact your local bar association and see if they have a pro Bono program. Many attorneys will do some cases at no cost.
