Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

We filed our own divorce after a lot of research. We agreed on everything! He is retired military and according to the Uniform Services Former Spouse's Protection Act I am entitled to 50% of his disposable retirement pay, as long as it is worded correctly and is granted in the Final Divorce. I am also entitled to be the beneficiary on the Survivor Benefits Plan as long as the Final Divorce grants this to the "former spouse". (all of this was in the filed papers) However, the judge said it's more technical than that but couldn't tell us what to add. He granted the divorce but crossed out all the above requests. What did I do wrong, & what do I do now?
