Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
Found Biological Father
After 59-years, I have found out that my use to be step-father is actually my biological father. He told me this about 8-years ago, but I have no proof. My mother is not living. What are my rights if any? He has no other children and is not married to anyone. He lives with a niece who is caring for him in New Roads. He is 80-years old.

You can ask for DNA testing. If he is your father, you can inherit from him.

I agree with Mr. Pizzolatto. If he has no family he might agree to an adult adoption, which is simple and you would legally be his child.
