Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

fraud by ex; ex got govt aid & father's child support; state garnishing me

A father faithfully paid his child support, & more, every month.

His ex lied to Social Services, saying she got nothing, & obtained state aid.

The state ''came after'' the father; he went to court with a lawyer & receipts. The judge said ''I can't even look at them - you have to pay back to the state what your ex defrauded from the state''.

He had already gone thru a vicious divorce & intense military combat. He was worn out & bitter; he gave up & left the area (8-10 yrs ago).

Since the courts would not help him then, further court action seems fruitless now. Could he petition the state for a waiver?

He is highly trained & skilled, but has worked sporadically at ''odd jobs'' since he can't renew professional licenses.

He is now hungry, homeless & seriously depressed.

He answered his country's call - will someone answer his?

Depends on where in Louisiana the court ordered him to pay.
