My first question is, "What does the mother want?" The young woman is an adult and you have no obligation to support her. Clearly the mother knows how to communicate with you, why doesn't she tell you (or the daughter) how to communicate with each other. You and the young woman can then discuss DNA testing, which (at her current age) has to do with emotions more than economics.
Re: need help
You cannot force the young lady to take a DNA test unless there is some highly overriding issue that would allow intrusion into her privacy. If you are married, I suggest you discuss it with your wife first and then possibly with your children if they are old enough. If you should obtain the young woman's contact number, you may need to have someone, like her mother, sit down and discuss you with her before you actually contact her. If she is your child, then you each have inheritance rights, and you have certain hereditary medical information that could be very valuable to a child of yours, and your grandchildren.
