Girlfriend signing My Checks to Gamble

What are my rights and how should I go about pressing charges against her for sighning and casing my checks while I was out of town and didn;'t know anything about it, she would hide my bank statements, she has taken and spend right at 5,000.00, we have split up because of the mistrust I have in here and also her gambling addiction, she move out whlle I was fishing one day and took whatever she wanted and also has taken whatever she wanted out of my belongings and will not return my things, I need some good advice, I have all the canceled checks for the past year. We are not married have been living together for the past 3 years

How long did it take her to take $5,000 from you? I would close that account at the bank and open a new one just in case she has more of your checks.

You can press charges against her for forgery if you want to do that.
