Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

i would like to know if my good friend has any legal way of being able to get to see her grandson. Her daughter died last year and her ex son in law will not allow her to see her only grandchild. that is her only connection of a memory of her daughter and he wont allow her to see him. is there anything legal wise she can do to help her.

Since her only connection to the child is now gone, she can file for visitation with her grandchild. She will have to prove to the court that it is in the child's best interest to have that relationship.
