grandparents rights
My daughter who lives in louisiana has been doing drugs now for the past month or so. She has an 6mth old baby that i would like to get custody of, but i do not know how are what rights i have as a grandparent. Please let me know what i can do because i am suppose to have him this weekend for a visit and i would like to keep him here were he will be safe...Please help me as soon as possible...

As a grandparent to the child, you have no particular right of possession. You must petition the Court for custody. The best advice is to hire an attorney today to begin the process for you by next Mon. when I presume the mother will return for the child.

If not, contact your local bar association. Even if you have your daughter's cooperation, there are various documents that need to be prepared in advance.
