What right do I have as a grandparent to visitation with my granddaughter?

Grandparents visitation rights flow through their child. If the child will not allow visits and you have a relationship with your grandchild, then you can file for visitation.

To supplement what Mr. Pizzolatto has said, your rights to visitation depend on whether your son/daughter is deceased or incarcerated, or whether the child has been adopted.

The burden of proof and amount of visitation can vary depending on the circumstances.
