Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Grandparents Rights

I live in Louisiana and my 3 yr old grandaughter lives in Missourri. My son is the father, but not married to the mother of my grandaughter. The mother makes no efforts at all to ensure visits between my grandaughter and my son's family. Do we have any rights to demand certains visitations?

Re: Grandparents Rights

The father of the child has absolute right to visitation rights with his child. This situation is more and more common with children out of wedlock and of divorce. But, he will have to go to Missouri to claim his rights through the courts. Your rights flow through your son's rights. You should contact a Missoui Lawyer.
