Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
Grandparents visitation rights after parents are reported for child neglect
We have been in our grandchildren's lives since birth and are very close to them. After reporting parents to CPS for neglect (children left home alone without phone, oldest aged l0 caring from two younger children), we were told we could never see or speak to our grandchildren again. This is emotionally damaging to our grandchildren. Don't grandparents have a right to protect grandchildren without being punished?

Contact an attorney to guide you through this problem. Because all custody matters are unique you should discuss this with a lawyer of your own.
