Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

I want to know under what grounds may I be emancipated and how old I have to be to move out in the state of Louisiana, I am currently 17 and will be 18 in a few months. I have heard and read multiple things on this subject and would really appreciate the real laws behind this. Thank you.

At 17, you are an adult under criminal statutes but a minor for civil matters. This means you can sign or proceed with legal matters such as contracts. You become an adult for most purposes at 18. Only your parent or a judge after a hearing can emancipate you. If almost 18, it is to your benefit just to wait for the natural emancipation on your birthday.
