Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

health insurance

In April 2000, i was order by the judge to HOLD insurance for my kids. the hearing officer never said an amount, but the amount that I amcurrently paying is 166.00 a a month excluding child support. now, my question is if the hearing officer never set an amount am I still entitle for the insurance that i have been paying and holding on my kids? The total amount that i have came up with is $4500.00, if the state have to give me credit for which they never did, but they send me an order stating that i was in contempt. Because apparently they thought i never held insurance for my kids, which i have provided them with that information already. What can i do to get this as a credit or is it money lost.

Re: health insurance

You must file a motion to amend child support. The court will not do it for you.
