Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Hopeless

I was with my childrens(2) father for 11 years and we lived together for 7 years...now we are apart and he has a live in girlfriend...me myself i have a friend(not live in).My question is now he wants custody..for the past 9 months since the break up i have provided for them completely...i want to take him to court for some rules to be made...the children want to live with me and visit him on holiday and weekends he wants custody..his name is not on the birth c ertificate but they are now 9 years old...what angle can i fight him on without losing my kids in the end...i want no child support just boundaries and my kids...i provide insurance...basically i am their main source for survival...but he wants custody...he thinks a 2 parent home is better and more stable, than my situation with a friend...

Re: Hopeless

You can file a Rule against him to establish his child support obligation, etc., with a private attorney or you could also get help from the District Attorney's office (389-3414) if he's not paying support for the children or Support Enforcement Services (342-2342).
