Hospitalization Rights

My husband and I are separated. Nothing is legal and neither of us have seen attorneys. Yesterday in anger he cancelled my hospitalization, which is through his employer. Can he do this. I was recently in an auto accident and also diagnosed with pre-cancer and need my insurance.

Contact the insurance administrator at his employer and explain that you are getting a divorce and are supposed to remain on the insurance. Find out the additional cost to him of having you on the policy and offer to pay the difference if you have to. Go to an attorney and immediately file for divorce and for a court order that he maintain you on the policy.
