Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
Own my house with my husband. I've asked for a divorce but nothing has been filed yet. He has already put my son out of the house, and has put me out of our bedroom. He now has taken the key that is for the lock on our master bedroom. Can he lock me out of our bedroom and take the key, or change the lock while I am still living in the house?

It is very important to have these issues determined by the court as soon after the final decision to divorce is made. If the house is community property, you each own 1/2. One of you will have to move out and the other will have to purchase their share.
