My ex petitioned for divorce claiming the community of acquets and gains created by the marriage has acquired no property. Does this mean, that if I sell the house she has no right to the profit gained?

If you know the property is community, then you need to sign a community property settlement giving you the house and making sure she gets 1/2 of the property. She can come back on you even if she says there is no community. Talk to your attorney.
