Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
I was hurt on the job. I had a cervical cushion. I have a pending worker's comp claim. I was having trouble finding work that my doc said was ok to do. Just found a job. I fell behind on child support for the last six months and now my ex wife is refusing to let me have visitation or see my daughter even with me promising I'll pay in 2 weeks when I get my 1st check. I can't afford an attorney. I just want to see her badly. I don't know what to do.

She can't refuse to let you see your kids just because you are in arrears in child support. There are avenues for both problems. She can take you to court for being late and you can do the same for her refusals to let you see the kids. You may also be able to have the sheriff enforce the visitation, if it comes to that. Have a CERTIFIED TRUE COPY of the Judgment available and have a deputy meet you at the home to enforce the Court's Judgment. Hopefully, it won't come to that.
