Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Husband is emotional abusive can not live with him

My husband and I have been married for 4 years, he owned a business in Louisiana when we first met. I worked and lived there for two years prior to the marriage. Due to an illness we moved to north mississippi where his family was from and opened another business, so that he would be close to his brothers. I did not know anyone there although his family has lived in the town for all of there lives.

During the time in that I was there I worked 6 days a week in the business and help build our second home, the first burned to the ground.

I left him after a long period of verbal abuse and moved out of state to keep him from finding me. He has all the money, he closed all our checking accounts and cancelled all the credit cards. The only I have is my vehicle and it is not paid for. He is trying to take it too. He has spread throughout this small town that I was on drugs and that I took all his money and left town. This is not true and I am penneyless and I have no where to turn. What can I do legally to stop him from destroying me.

You need to retain counsel, file for a temp restraining order, file for temporary relief, etc.

This will stop him from selling everything.

Let me know if I may be of additional service.

Because you last lived together in Mississippi, all divorce questions are best directed to a Mississippi lawyer.
