Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

can my husband end up having custody if I just leave? Or would I still win primary custody? Worried about abandenment!! I do not have alot of money to talk to a lawyer and want to do what is right for my child.

The court will act in the best interests of the child. Joint cutody is assumed to be in the children's best interest unless one parent is found to be unfit. Just because you leave a marriage, doesn't mean you' ve abandoned your child. You can file for divorce and be awarded the marital domicile and temporary custody.
