My husband and I are trying to file a motion for contempt on the mother of his child. We are also trying to reinforce visitation which is why we want to file contempt. We do not have the funds to afford an attorney at the

Moment and need to do something fast before the step father illegally adopts the child due to abandonment laws in Louisiana. How can we do this ourselves? Is it smart to I into this without an attorney ? Because she has one of the est in the region. Can we get a court appointed attorney?

Get a lawyer. But if you don't, file an objection to the adoption. Look online for the law on adoption etc.
