Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

My husband filed for a divorce and on the decree it states thtt the parents ae awarded joint cutody of their minor children, with thier mother,designated as the primary domiciliary parent and with physical custody in favor of father.... What does that mean?

The wording is contradictory. A primary domiciliary parent is the parent with whom the child resides with most frequently. "Physical custody granted to father" indicates that the child will reside with the father. However, if the judgment goes on to particularly identify specific times the father has physical custody then this is a typical joint custody decree.
