Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

My husband and I have owned a house for 8 years. I have tried to get my husband to sell this house for years. The school system is awful and I do not feel safe in the neighborhood, especially with a 4 year old girl. There are many problems in the marriage and I just can't wait any longer, I really want to get out this marriage. Am I obligated to continue to pay mortgage on the house if I move out. Both our names are on the mortgage but I will not be able to forward even an apartment if I have to continue to pay half the mortgage. Do you have any advice for me?

The mortgage is a community debt for which you are responsible. A court may order him to pay the note.
