Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

my ex husband and i were in the process of an intrafamily adoption when i filed for divorce. I seeked the adoption lawyer and explained the situation and told her I wanted to stop the adoption. We went to the court date that was set and in the judges chambers I explained to the judge what was going on and that I wanted to stop the adoption. 2 years later, my ex husband informs me that he rehired the lawyer and is trying to continue the adoption. is this possible???

Yes. Anyone may adopt as long as it is in the best interest of the child. If this is your child that he was going to adopt, you will have to agree.
