Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

My husband purchased a house as a "single man" in May 2009 while we were still married and living together without my knowledge. We're still married today (8 yrs )& have not filed for legal seperation or a divorce of any kind. We had been feuding for a few days when he finally revealed to me that he had purchased a home a month earlier. I've pulled the deed & he purchased it as a single man & kept it a secret from me for over a month. After he told me, he asked if we would move with him. The neighborhood too rough for our young daughter (6). Then later he said he wanted to work on the marriage & I agreed. Then just three months later he moved into that house he purchased. Do I have any rights to the home? Should it be included in divorce settlement? Could I include it?

Anything purchased during the marriage is community property no matter the name ito which it is registered. The only time this wouldn't apply is if you elected to have a separate property regime and these papers were filed in the record at court. It should be included in any community property settlement.
