Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
My husband and I have been separated for 2 years and he stopped giving me money for his part of the health insurance and said he no longer wanted to be on plan. Currently, he has no insurance. I could not afford to pay his portion, so I dropped him. Prior to removing him from the plan, I had him sign a paper stating that he requested to be removed from the plan. I can't afford to file for divorce right now. Will this paper suffice??

You have no obligation to carry him unless ordered by the Court. I would hold the letter-better if notarized-as proof that he wanted coverage dropped if it is an issue later.
