Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Me and My husband have a 2 year old son and we have been separated since July. I haven't taken him to court for child support yet but he pays me 150 a month. I did that just to be nice, but I am a breaking point now. He only watches our son one night a week (from like 6 pm to 6 am) So I have our son every single day of his life and I pay way more financially, mentally, and physically than him. He now is saying that he is going to claim him on his taxes because he pays "child support" Is this legal? I thought I would be entitled to claim himj since I have him everyday and pay more.

You will need the court to issue a judgment as both are entitled to claim the children.

You must take him to the hearing officer and get support set. However, as far as taxes are concerned, he will play hell claiming the child even with the situation the way it is. Get a lawyer and do what is right for your child.
