hyphen minor child last name
What do I need to do to change or hyphen my child/children's last name? I don't want to take away the father's name, but I want add mine.

After your child is born, you will be asked to fill out a birth certificate application. That is where you do the naming of the child and hyphenate it or whatever you want.....If your child is already named, you will have to file a name change petition with the court.
