Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

im married to a disabled person and her parents have power of attorney over her but abuse it by taking her money,telling her what to do,mentally abusing her,making decisions for us,treating us both like crap.we live on her dads land and our house is in his name but ive lived with her for at least five or six years.can he kick us out of our house or of his land and how could i get power of attorney switched over to me?

If she gave them the power of attorney, she can revoke it by just saying so. If the court appointed them curators, or executors, then they should have been required to do a periodic accounting of what they did with her money. They can kick you off the land and out of the house, so be prepared when you stop their power of attorney or take them to court. But, with that said, you really should consult an attorney so they can tell you how the parents' rights over their daughter was obtained and how to stop it.
