Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

I am interested in taking my son's father to court to change our original civil order. In the order it states that his father can claim him for federal taxes every year. At the time of the court order i had not finished nursing school yet. I do not want to hire a lawyer to come to court. I only need assistance in filing the motion. I would also like to get information on bringing him to civil court. We went to court in April of 2006, at which time he was ordered to carry my son on insurance. The court deducted about 150.00 per month on what he was ordered to pay because of the insurance he had on my son at that time. He only kept him on insurance for about 3 months. I now carry my son on insurance. During the time that he did not have insurance i have incurred medical bills. I would like to see if i can sue him in civil court for the amount that was deducted from his child support and part of medical bills that i have for my son. Please contact me with any information you may be able to offer. Thank You.

You will need to file a motion to modify child support and for past due medical insurance. You should get an attorney unless you have assigned your child support to child support enforcement.
