Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

I have a judgment ordering alimony but husbands attorney gave him permission to lower the amount. Can he do that? He justifies it by telling him to pay the difference on the house note. I thought paying bills and spousal support were two different things.

Bills and alimony are separate if both were ordered to be paid by the court. If only alimony was ordered then anything he pays on your behalf that he is not obligated to would arguably be a payment towards alimony.
