Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
What do I do if I have a LA Judgment for visitation of my child who is now a WI resident, but my Judgment is strictly clear that there is three time yearly visitation, all to be done in the state of my former spouse's domicile, acknowledging that I have given permission for him to leave LA with my daugher but that I'm allotted these visitation times, but when I go there in August to see her, she isn't presented for visitation when I arrive at the home. How can I get the visitation complied with? Can the local police get her out of the house if I show them the Judgment? I'm starting to feel sick as I begin making travel plans, afraid she won't be made available. My former spouse doesn't communicate with me at all and lately he's been ignoring all correspondence, even from lawyers and courts. He was found in contempt for nonpayment of support at a LA hearing and didn't show up or call the hearing officer.

You need to make the Louisiana Judgment a Judgment of the State of Wisconsin. You do that by the rules of Wisconsin. After you get WI to recognize the LA judgment, it becomes the Judgment of WI and you can enforce it any way you wish. But until the LA judgment is made a Judgment of the WI court, there is not to execute on in WI.
