Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Is it legal for an attorney to drop your case the good she can do in the case exceeds her abilities...and we still owe money and have none to get another attorney...is it legal to drop the case in the middle even before trial

An attorney is not obligated to continue representing someone who fails to pay. If the petition has been filed and signed by the attorney, the attorney must motion the court to withdraw and the court must so order.
