Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
I live in Louisiana, and am getting a no-fault divorce. My wife and i have lived apart for over 1 year (with a child). We plan to file a 103 divorce, as we have lived apart for over a year. She wants to buy a car THIS WEEK. Would I be responsible for 50% of what she pays for it? (she has also bought new appliances in past month)

Until you file for divorce the community is still in existence. That is the drawback to a 103. You can assign debts in the community property settlement but creditors can still pursue both of you.
