Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
Living Arrangements
My husband and I will not be divorced until October of this year, I filed the petition last October. This past weekend he moved in with his girlfriend at her home. I have not met this woman, nor will he introduce me to her. He will not sign the visitation agreement I drafted (I am a paralegal and since all we really had to worry about are the custody issues we have yet to get lawyers involved). Are there any specific rules about our minor children (11 and 7 years old) visiting him at this lady's house? I do not want to deny visitation, but he has already had this woman sleep over his place a few months ago when the kids were visiting and she slept in the same bed as my 7 year old daughter. My daughter was quite upset and angry over the daddy having a girlfriend so quickly, and she has been going to counseling since this incident. What are my rights in a situation like this?

Re: Living Arrangements
Every single one of the custody plans I have done has a provision that no person of the opposite sex not related to the parent, can spend the night when either parent has the children overnight. What you relate would not sit very well with any Judge I have dealt with. Maybe it is time to get a lawyer or at least rule him into court to have the Judge make the decision about custody and visitation.
