Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
long criminal record
Do judges generally take into account
when deciding custody:
When one parent has a long history
of drug/alcohol; domestic violence; ad
theft charges.
When the parent leaves for periods of
time not contacting the home and
cutting off $ needed by the family.
When the parent had a child who is
now 21 and was ordered supervised
visits because they were unfit.

Re: long criminal record
Alot of the things you mentioned are all looked at and can possibly have an affect on custody if the parent is continuing to abuse alcohol and/or drugs.
