Spousal suppor tis temporary and may be granted for up to 18 months post divorce. The only criteria is need and ability to pay. In rare cases, if one party is at fault and the other is free from fault an in need, the court may award

permanent alimony. The Court will look at the length of marriage and what the standard if living the aggrieved party had become accustomed.
