Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

I am lost my children in a custody battle. My exhusband contiunes to file contempts againast me for irrelevent issues. These contempt charges have no merit but my financial situation will not allow me to properly defend myself. I am trying to retain a pro bono attorney, but since i live with my parent and I have a house listed under my name, they denied my request. I dont know which way to turn. His allegation are false an in some cases he is in contempt as well. How can i fight this with little or no funds?

Document everything and never fail to answer a pleading or miss a court date. Bring your documentation with you to all proceedings. You may try appealing legal services decision by requesting an appointment with the managing attorney.
