Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

In Louisiana, my son and his soon-to-be ex-wife share 50/50 custody. He is in jail, and wants to transfer his custody to us. Is this possible? If so, what is required?

Grandparents can be awarded visitation in limited circumstances. He can not just transfer custody. You will more than likely have to petition the court.
