Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

In Louisiana, if a wife has filed for divorce, can she re-file on the grounds of adultery 11 months into the proceedings. The alleged adultery happened 10 months into the proceedings...approximately 6 weeks before the original finalization date.

You have minor children, so that is why you had to wait a year instead of 6 months to get the divorce. You can file a rule for divorce once the 1 year happens even though she is the one who filed for the divorce. The adultery only affects whether she gets permanent spousal support and cannot stop the divorce from happening once the year hits. And, adultery a year after the divorce was filed for does not seem to be the reason the marriage ended, so get an attorney and move forward. Any time you let the other side do everything and you sit back and bide your time, you get screwed.
